Full Kitchen Remodel with Glass Cabinet Uppers in Nashville

Shaker kitchens have been around for centuries for a reason.

The lines are simple. The proportions are balanced. Nothing tries too hard. When it's done well, the whole room feels crisp and well put together.

That was the goal with this full kitchen remodel in Nashville.

This project came together through a great collaboration with AIJ Design and Ingram Construction, who helped shape the layout and overall vision for the space.

The designers wanted something that felt crisp and modern while still warm and livable. Painted shaker cabinets keep the space light, while the wood floors and natural stone bring in some texture so the room doesn’t feel flat.

It’s a straightforward palette, but the details are what give the kitchen its character.

Glass Panel Upper Cabinets

One of the details that really works in this kitchen is the row of glass upper cabinets.

The glass sections add a little breathing room visually while still keeping the full-height look intact.

At night, the lighting inside them gives the whole kitchen a soft glow.

The Island as the Centerpiece

At the center of the room sits a large island that anchors the entire layout.

It provides workspace, storage, and seating while also keeping the room feeling open and connected. Paired with the oversized lantern pendants above, the island becomes the visual focal point without feeling overdesigned.

It’s the kind of kitchen that invites people to gather: coffee in the morning, dinner prep in the evening, and conversation throughout the day.

The Perfect Hardware

Shaker cabinets are known for their simplicity, but getting them right requires precision. The reveals need to be consistent. The drawer lines need to land exactly where they should. And the hardware has to complement the proportions without distracting from them.

In this kitchen, long brushed pulls keep the look modern while still respecting the classic shaker profile.

Thinking about a full kitchen remodel that feels timeless but still completely custom?

Let’s talk about how we can help bring your vision to life.
